Tickle Me Tuesday: Future Inspiration

Lately, as I sit around waiting for our little one to arrive, I've had more time to scour Pinterest.  I try not to spend a ton of time on there, but boy is it helpful for inspiration for home projects and recipes.  We also recently found out that we're probably going to have to move, like, before April.  Our landlord and his family are trying to fix up the place we currently live in.  In that process they are going to be removing the old siding (containing lead paint), the old windows (the sills contain lead paint) and remodeling our bathroom.  So, they have a smaller little house right next to our landlord that he suggested we move into.  Aaron is still not super sold on the idea.  Neither of us like the layout very much, however, I do like that it's off the main road, and that we'd not have neighbors to worry about.  That would be so helpful.  It's not that I don't like neighbors, it's just that right now we have the top floor of a house and sound travels too easily between the top and bottom floors.  With a newborn this could become a problem.  So anyway, because we might be moving, I have been looking up some nursery type ideas. Here are a few that have been tickling my fancy lately.

Add  spice racks to either side of a dresser for a book shelf that saves space. Brilliant!

An old entertainment stand turned baby storage area/changing table.
I couldn't find the original source

Wouldn't this be such an awesome bookshelf???

And I would love to have chalkboard paint in our house some day.

Tickle me Coconut

Sometime in the last month, my husband and I were watching an Iron Chef America.  It happened to be Battle Coconut.
Oh no, so many problems with this.
1. I already have an intense love of coconut.
2. I'm pregnant and tend to be easily convinced I need certain foods.  Not really cravings, but more of an I see it and now want it kind of deal.
3. My mouth watered the entire show.
4. I think I said I want it about every 30 seconds.

That brings me to the last few weeks.  My husband decided that we NEEDED to have some coconut in our lives.  Seriously, he stocked up!

Oh praise God for my hubby!

So I got on Pinterest and found some wonderful recipes.

Here are the ones that tickled our fancy the last few weeks.

And then we had Coconut Chicken (next time I'm leaving out the condensed milk, too sweet (which is normally impossible for me)).

And lastly, I made these tasty little buggers
I messed up (SHHHH) and only used 1/2 c. butter, but they still turned out well. =D
And I didn't feel as guilty when I'd eat like 6 (ok, I only felt half as guilty).
Can I use the excuse I'm eating for two?

So that's what's been tickling our fancy lately.
How about you?

Tickle Me Tuesday Pennsylvania Edition

It's that time again to link up with Sarah for:

I am always looking at things on Etsy.  There are just so many beautiful, creative things there.  Here are some things that I like that celebrate Pennsylvania.  Aaron and I love living here.  We'd much rather have the snow, which is somewhat predictable than hurricanes, tornados, wildfires, etc.

And this one is just funny to me, Aaron doesn't really care for it though

What are some things that have been tickling your fancy??

Once again I'm linking up with Sarah from Yes, Teacher Crafts for Tickle Me Tuesday.

This week here are some things I've had my eye on.

This awesome set of thread that was on sale at Joann Fabrics. Would love that so I had more thread in various colors.

Then there's this completely unrealistic pining:
Is it not GORGEOUS!!!????!!

I am also loving this painting by Lindsay

And I love almost everything in Sarah's shop, but I love this Steelers necklace. Ok, Ok, it's not specifically Steelers but I know she designed it with them in mind right?

So head on over to Sarah's blog and see what's tickling others' fancies!

Tickle Me Tuesday Baby Blanket Edition

There is a blanket I have been eyeing up on Etsy for months (like since I found out we were pregnant.)  We don't plan on finding out what we're having (although I think we're having a girl), so gender neutral is totally key right now.

That's why I LOVE this blanket.
Those colors just make me so happy.

Then I saw that there were more beautiful blankets from this shop.  I want most of them.  Honestly they're just gorgeous.  I think I'm in love.

The other somewhat gender neutral blanket

If we knew for sure we were having a little girl, I'd have to get this (ok, not really because we don't have the funds, but seriously Stunning!) I love these colors together.

And this one makes me happy because it reminds me of our wedding

So go visit Bklyn Baby's Etsy shop.  Simply marvelous I tell you.

What is tickling your fancy this Tuesday?

Tickle Me Tuesday

I haven't done this yet, but decided today I would link up with Sarah for Tickle Me Tuesday.

I hope you'll play along too.  It'll be fun to see what everyone is tickled by this week!

For me it's:
Vintage Sheets
Although I haven't been able to buy any yet, I have been wanting to get some to make some more sweater purses to put in my shop.  The one above is BY FAR my favorite I've found.  I just love it.  I would almost feel bad cutting it up.

Baby Items
I've been trying to work on our registry lately for baby items and have been eyeing up some beautiful treasures on Etsy.  The quilt below is one of my favorites that I've ever seen as far as gender neutral baby quilts go.

Sheep
I've always had an infatuation with sheep.  I really want to kiss up their faces every time I see them.  When driving to my mother-in-love's I pass by a sheep farm and call out to them to tell them I love them.  Yup, it's ok, you can think I'm weird.  I am!  But just look at this adorable quilt.

Well thanks for playing along and listening to some things that are tickling my fancy lately.  Hope you have a tickley Tuesday (only not literally, I hate being tickled, but feel free to tickle others).
